october 1st is finally here!! you know what that means...
well, you might not, becuase i've done a crappy-ass job of updating this site!
so here's the news: the new webcomic,
girls with slingshots, is finally here!
it's seeing its debut currently at
www.girlswithslingshots.com (if this doesn't work, go
here) and at the
small press expo in bethesda, md.
if you'll be in the area this weekend (fri-sun), please stop by!
i'll be sharing table space with tim fish and the
popimage gang in the montgomery room (we're dominating an entire wall - can't miss us).
anyway, not much else is new - sleep and food deprivation have been pretty constant with the amount of work i've put into getting GWS ready for this weekend - with any luck things will go back to normal next week!
oh, speaking of next week, i DO have one announcement: i'll be participating in the
insight studios group halloween webstravaganza.
i'm not quite sure what a webstravaganza is, but i'm pretty sure it means lots of free webcomics for you guys... !! i'll keep ya posted.
oh, and about that... i'll be more likely to post news up at the gws page now that i'm going to have to keep it updated and stuff.
so if you're peeved that there's no new news in this 'blog... try the OTHER 'blog! (oh god, i have two 'blogs now... i'm so emo... )

ramblers is up!!!
special thanks to val, who spent at least three or four hours yesterday fiddling with PHP so that I didn't have to spend... a whole... hour... doing it by hand.
okay, actually, it
does make sense - this will save me a ton of trouble and time whenever i want to update ramblers, and additionally i can use the PHP code over again for other sections, like wedding photography (which still hasn't been shaved down to less than 100 photos!).
i'm super-busy over here, but things are going smoothly.
projects i'm working on: obviously, girls with slingshots (which is going up at the END OF NEXT WEEK, remember!!); a cover for
some big lumberjack that i think you guys are gonna dig; and hopefully some work for rafer roberts'
plastic farm.
before
SPX hits next weekend, i'll also be working on a pretty big drawing of death and dream from the sandman for a new pal of mine, jeff, who bought a pic of
hazel at baltimore, among about a zillion other things (talk about supporting indy comics!!).
keep checking this 'blog for new additions to the website throughout the week (and perhaps a few sneak previews of GWS!!)!

ALMOST DONE!!
val is visiting for a few days, and she says that what would take me several hours to do in the ramblers, larry & caroline, hazelnuts, and weddings sections, she can do in a mere hour.
seeing as she knows what she's doing and is a programming whiz, while i'm still using notepad to hand-code everything, i figure she's probably right, and i'm going to wait until she can put it together for me tomorrow.
so here's what IS up, then!
comics: all of the "other" comics - the 24 hour comic, prom on mars guest strip, more fund, and a bunch of convention sketches - are up!
illustration: although you can't bring up the larger version of the pictures yet, all of the illustration stuff is there (minus design, which uh... doesn't even really have CONTENT yet - i'm not a designer!)
photography: same as illustration: everything is up, but you can't bring up the larger versions of each picture yet. also, the weddings aren't going up until i beat myself into chopping the photo count to 30% - right now, there are 136 images waiting to go up!
store & services: the store will take some time because it's going to go mostly through cafe press, and the services section will be up soon (all inquiries can go directly in my inbox by
e-mailing me)
news & danielle: ah, yes, the self portraits have returned (this time with a few never-before seen, um... "gems"). this blog will be updated as often as i can, especially during the next two weeks as i add more to the site. the bio is up (tweaked and updated from the old site). contact info is up. although the resume page isn't up yet, you can see it

girls with slingshots: well, seeing as neither the web design nor the actual STRIP are even created yet, it's not really worth going to!

well, here we are again waiting for me to get off my skinny little unemployed ass and get some content together.
to be honest, it's HERE, it's just not ready to be put up yet.
i almost popped the unfinished, unedited version up for the evening, just to say that i had something for my tentative "deadline," but perfectionist as i am, i simply couldn't do it.
i can't put it up until it's completely FINISHED (minus the store section, by the way - it's going to take some work first, but at some point, i'll finally have an online STORE! yay!).
monday, the 20th, is my "dia de CODING," so i'll be wrapping up loose ends, editing text and fixing little glitches before making everything live tomorrow night.
not that you likely expected anything different, but i do apologize for the lateness.
