First steps
This is me learning how to use a camera.
You'd think someone with a degree in photo and years of experience doing sports and wedding photography would be able to pick up a digital SLR and just start shooting her heart out.
I'll be the first to admit that it took me awhile to get the hang of the equipment.
Hell, I'm STILL getting the hang of it!
I'm used to having very few options (a small lens, no flash, available light only, no white balance and a set ISO).
Having every option I could ever want in one [heavy!] camera is new to me.
It also brings along more challenges than it does benefits.
Now I have the ability to change the speed of my "film," the quality of the output (web/normal/fine), the white balance, the amount of light that pours from my flash, including what angle to set it at and whether I want a reflector or a soft box attached...
it definitely causes more problems for me than it does help!
That's too much thinking for me!
My kick-ass boss seems to have plenty of faith in me, though, as do my coworkers.
Let's hope they're right!
