Utter silence!

Holy crap I've been quiet down here!

It's because I've been very very busy. Busy redesigning the website. Busy creating the next two GWS books (preorders next week, in time for early-bird Christmas buyers!). Busy moving in my new assistant. And, sometimes, busy doing normal-people stuff.

So thanks for your patience, and look forward to some exciting news and changes around here soon!

Oh, and in case you missed it...

Good God, Lar DeSouza is a fantastic artist. And a swell guy to boot! <3

Polapermalink!

Maureen & Jameon's photographer is actually Lauren Beacham, the real-life ghost photographer behind Jamie!

Check out the fab stuff she has at her store if you have a chance! (Polaroid lovers beware; you might have to buy something.)

BUSIEST WEEK OF LIFE #1

Hey guys and gals! This has literally been The Busiest Week Of My Life, so thank you for hanging in there while the strips are gone. I honestly can't wait to get back to a daily strip next week! I miss it!

Sooooo here's what I've been up to. First, I've been training my FABULOUS new assistant, Jessi. Look, we took a picture. In my studio. SHE'S REAL, FOLKS.

She packaged up all of the original GWS strips we sold last week TODAY, and they're going out TOMORROW. There's no way I could have done all of this. She's packing up belated (sorry!) Volume 1&2 sales tomorrow, and Etsy sales the next day. She is officially the "Muscle" of GWS.

So if you see her at a convention (perhaps this weekend at Baltimore), and you like having your GWS merchandise shipped on-time, you should really thank her. :)

Also, this Volume 3 cover has been KILLING ME!! But I think I've finally come up with a decent solution:

It's just the most recent draft, but it's something! Thanks to all the Twitter people who offered their advice; this was practically a colaborative project thanks to you guys!

And hey, do you guys know about Super Art Fight in Baltimore this Friday? I'm going to be drawing against people all night! That's right, someone is going to feel the wrath of MY PEN. You should totally come out and cheer us on. Lar DeSouza will be battling, too!

We'll be at The Metro Gallery starting at 9 pm (doors open at 8, tix are $10).

Apparently this douchebag thinks he's going to be kicking my partner Jamie's ass. OH HE THINKS HE IS SO FUNNY. Look. This guy draws fuckin' BASSET HOUNDS all day. I think we have a clear winner, folks.

Come watch us play, and find out what big basset tears look like! YOU ARE GOING DOWN BRIAN.

Miss me?

You can listen to me yack on about how great I am in Comic Geek Speak's recent 700th episode! (Congratulations, guys!!)

Also, yes, I finally have the cover of book 3 finished! Here you are:

Baltimore!

can't wait to see a bunch of you this weekend at Balti-con! I'll be at the Harvey Awards as well, mainly because Scott Kurtz will be the Master of Ceremonies, and because my long-time pal David Gallaher is up for an award.

We'll be at table 112, between Joel of Hijinks Ensue and Rafer of Plastic Farm. Look for the giant cactus!

Oh yeah, and here's your Volume 4 progress. Almost done!

As seen on TV!

Thanks to everyone who joined me and Assistant Jessi at our first ever half-assed streaming video last night! Don't worry, we'll be doing it again, just not until I'm home from the ISCA Convention next week (hope to see you caricature artists there!).

According to Joel of Hijinksensue, if you missed it, this pretty much wraps it up.

Oh, and PS! I do sell shirts. And they are right here.
