Signing this Friday, NEWW in March, ECCC in April!
Here's the paraphrased version!
3-Woman Book Signing at Book Woman this Friday in Austin!
New England Webcomics Weekend March 20-22 in Mass!
Should I go to Emerald City Comic Con in April?
Signing this Friday
So
Monica Gallagher and I decided to throw together a last-minute signing at
Book Woman this Friday from 6:30-8:30, right down the road from
Austin Books & Comics, where the Staple! pre-party is being held.
The fabulous
Youme Landowne will be joining us and we'll be doing a lil' talk first. Stop in if you're around Austin Books that night!
(Scroll way down for the flier!)
Webcomics Weekend!
Also, I forgot to mention that I will be at the
New England Webcomics Weekend March 20-22 in Easthampton, selling books & art
with
every
other
webcartoonist
on
the
planet.
Emerald City Comic Con
So,
Emerald City Comic Con. Do you guys think I should go?
I've never done a west coast show before!
I'd love to make this one my first, but I need a little help with the airfare (I didn't know it costs
more to go
further - I guess that makes 100% sense, huh?!).
So here's the deal: if you donate $20 or more to dcorsetto@gmail.com to help get me out there (starting today), I'll put together a special print that you can pick up at the convention.
If things don't work out and I don't raise enough, I'll just ship it to you, regardless. Sound good?
If you donate, make sure you add a note to your transaction - what would you like the "I got Danielle to fly to Seattle" special print to feature?
A particular character? Jamie and Hazel in Seattle? Something totally wacky? Help me get ideas! :)
In the meantime, here's a flier with the mugs of all three of us gals. Click to enlarge. Y'know, for larger mugs.

TSS
This strip is dedicated to Kevin Serwacki, who rightfully pointed out that (despite such claims on the back of Volume 2) there is a distinct lack of tampon jokes in Girls With Slingshots.
Well then. Now are you happy?

Stuff!
I had the pleasure of meeting Joel Watson from Hijinks Ensue last week in Texas, and he did an AWESOME cameo of the girls!
I simply had to share:
I dare say he draws them better than I do. :) And the porn store background details are priceless!
Also, regarding Webcomics Weekend this weekend; I'm going to be bringing along a bunch of artwork that has never been available for sale before.
Just letting you know! The original inks for GWS Volume 2 will be available, along with some never-before-seen GWS art, life drawings, and illustration work.
I'm also bringing the paintings on my mantel... just in case someone feels exceptionally spendy. ;)
And as always, I'll have both books 1 & 2. Can't wait to meet all of you webcomics boys & girls!

Webcomics Weekend! and more
I got tingles drawing this strip. :)
I hope to see a bunch of you this weekend in Massachusetts!
If you're in town but couldn't register in time, feel free to hang out with us Friday night in Easthampton.
I'll try to tweet my location whenever possible (although depending on how I'm feeling, it may be "hotel bed, flannel pants with a cup of tea and a box of oranges").
So what can you expect from me this weekend? First, I'll be doing $10 mini-sketches and selling GWS Books One & Two ($20 for one or $35 for both books).
I'll also be drawing Monday's strip live on Saturday afternoon/evening in Room B alongside other aritsts. Come watch us draw!
As mentioned, the original inks for Volume 2 will be available for sale as well as the three GWS paintings that hang above my mantel, for those of you with deep pockets.
For those of you with pockets as shallow as mine, window shopping is always free. ;)
ALSO: the good webcartoonists at Eastworks have been shelling out the dough for this event from their own pockets.
There will be a donation jar to help cover the costs of this little convention; please consider donating a chunk of your spending change to them for their time & trouble!
They've been working super-hard to get this thing together in less than a month.
There will also be a charity drive for Kiva (which is an awesome service - read about it!) and to repair the local bike path.
This lovely piece will be up for auction to benefit said causes:
One last thing, at the risk of being totally unmodest: Monday is my birthday, and I'm going to spend the entire day driving back from Massachusetts.
I would LOVE it if someone would bring a burned CD with their favorite music on it for me.
It would be the greatest gift ever for someone who's spending her birthday on the road for 8 hours. Umm, just sayin'!
Can't wait to meet you all this weekend!

NEWW and this weekend's 50% Off Sale
Duuuuuuuude, New England Webcomics Weekend was soooooo cool!
While I could go on for hours about all the stuff that was so great about the weekend, this pretty much wraps up my [hotel] experience.
Meeting you guys, hanging out at the bars with creators and readers alike... it was a blast and I'm so glad it's going to happen again next year. I'll try not to be sick next time.
And thanks SO MUCH to everyone who burned a CD for me!
You guys have great taste in music, and you made the 8-hour trek home Monday seem like 4 hours.
No joke, WAY easier driving home than driving up, all thanks to your efforts.
So now that the weekend is over and a new weekend is just over the hump, here's what I'm doing next.
If you're in the northern Jersey area (that includes you, New York City and Pennsylvania!), you should come out to Wild Pig Comics in Kenilworth, NJ for their annual 50% off sale.
Every goddamn thing in the store is half-off, and there's a great lineup of talent that will be hanging out with us:
Erica Hesse of The Key; James Hatton of In His Likeness; David Gallaher and Steve Ellis of High Moon; Pete Stathis of Evenfall; Peter and Robert Timony of The Night Owls; and the unsung talent Bill Ellis who does not have a website or comic because some god out there doesn't believe in him (trust me, he's damn talented).
If you know any of these people, it should be enough to get you to come out.
Or, y'know, you can just come out to see me. :)
