Shows and links!

Hello! It's me. I'm going to be at the CGS Super Show this weekend. Will you?

If so, and if you'd like to get a sketch, I'm taking preorders for 10 lucky people who would like to have their sketch FINISHED by the time they see me this weekend. This means I can take more time on your sketch here at my studio, and you don't have to wait all weekend to get it!

I only have four people on the list so far, so if you're interested in doing this, please e-mail me at dcorsetto@gmail.com with the subject "CGS SKETCH" and let me know what kind of sketch you'd like. I'll be doing my regular prices, $40 for black & white with greys, and $80 for full color.

Either way, I hope to see some of you there this weekend! I'll be at the Third & Spruce party Friday night, too, so if you see me, please say hello!

Shortpacked It's about a toy store, and it's funny and cute. It's... what are the kids saying today? Full of win.

Just A Bit Off Autobio fun stuff by the maker of my favorite GWS guest strip. Stellar.

Anders Loves Maria NSFW. Boobs and wang. And BEAUTIFUL art. And boobs. And wang.

Ugly Hill Totally underappreciated strip. Great colors and character design, and really fun story.

F Chords Did you know that Starslip guy is doing a new strip that's not sci-fi? Music jokes!

Wondermark One of those cut-and-paste comics, only really effing smart.

Liz Greenfield's Fancy Circumstances In case you thought Stuff Sucks was over, Liz is still making sexy art in a more autobio format.

The first four I have a strong feeling you'll like if you're into GWS. Anders Loves Maria is just beautiful, and full of great sex jokes. Ugly Hill and F Chords deserve WAY more attention, and Wondermark and Liz Greenfield are my non-traditional faves.

Just a quick update on books, finally! All 13 boxes were delivered safe & sound yesterday, and I'll start signing & sketching today.

Jamie art

In case you're interested, I'm finally putting up a piece that I'd meant to stick on eBay weeks ago.

It's a simple, fun pencil piece displaying the many hairdos of Jamie with her new short cut. 9x12" bristol, signed, sprayed with a fixative, and cute, because it's Jamie-kins.

Quick break!

The very quick story: I'm broke, and caricature gigs pay very very well.

I'm at a 25-hour-long caricature job from Thursday through Saturday night. After that, updates will continue as usual. Mondays never tasted so good.

Sorry I've been so quiet down here! I do have an announcement to make:

BALTIMORE COMIC CON

It is this weekend. I will be there. Will you?

If you happen to see me there (with McPedro and Assistant Katie), I'm running a special deal for Baltimore: if you sign up for a sketch, you can either take a free button pack, or buy the GWS book for $14 instead of $17. You just have to mention it (this is your gift for reading my silly blog posts!).

Also, if you ask, Assistant Katie will do a "retarded cat" sketch for you! Katie was actually the inspiration behind Hazel's nutty hypoallergenic kitty. Well, Katie's sketches, not Katie herself. Assistant Katie is actually one smart cat.

Baltimore!

I'm at the Baltimore Comic Con all weekend! More on that in a moment.

But first, it's another Monsieur Moustache sighting in Subculture!!

Also, I'm not sure if this is an intentional Moustache cameo or not, but it's damn funny.

So if you're going to be at Baltimore this weekend, please stop by to listen to myself and my two favorite Scotts, Scott Kurtz and Scott Sava, as we talk shop at the Webcomics Panel Saturday. It'll be in room 302-303 from 11:30 to 12:30 am. I may or may not be awake.
