Firecrackers.
Got some new pieces for those of you itching for new original color GWS art!
You don't even have to battle for them; I'm selling them on Etsy this time so you can get 'em in time for the holidays.
And of course, to go with 'em, you can donate any amount you'd like and pick up aforementioned artwork to slap on your desktop.
Scroll to the top of this page, click on the wallpaper you want, and enjoy!
Or, y'know, don't enjoy. I'm not the boss of you.
But that kitty is. Lookit those eyes. Ahhboobooboo.

Crotch stars!
I was thrilled to find that Birdie of Super Fight Fight did a little homage to Hazel's crotch stars in yesterday's comic!
Likewise, the guys from Save Hiatus snuck some crotch stars into their comic, and Capes -N- Babes is planning to make a subtle reference this week, as well.
As my friend Chris from Jersey says, "AH, comradery!"
If you haven't checked out these guys' comics, you should. They're top-notch, and not just because they love crotch stars.
They're actually good cartoonists.
Oh hey, and by all means PLEASE feel free to send in Tyler-inspired drinks for the Drink-O-Rama Contest!
I'd love to have a few non-alcoholic drinks in the book.
Likewise, I completely forgot that I'll need an official Slingshot, the Drink.
If you're feeling bold, please submit a pink knock-you-on-your-ass shot kinda like the one in this strip. Good luck!
PS. Anyone coming to Toronto for this weekend's kick-ass Paradise Toronto Comic Con?? I hope you are!!

Canada, eh!
Hey, do you live within a few hours of Toronto? Yeah? Have you ever been there before? No?
This would be the right weekend to visit.
Paradise Toronto Comicon is one of my all-time favorite conventions.
This'll be my third year lugging Mr. McPedro over the border (the first time, we went to Niagra Falls!) to participate in the show.
So while I don't know my table assignment yet, you can always find me by looking for my big green cactus.
And besides McPedro, the guest list is impressive.
Ramón and Rob from GWS's foul-mouthed Canadian cousin, Butternutsquash, will be there, along with most (all?) of the wonderful people I gushed about after my first trip to Toronto.
And this time, I'll also be toting along my lovely assistant Katie...
... to help me sort & sell the new tee shirts!

Both of the shirts will be available at the show for $17 apiece (Canadian or USD) and are available in men's and women's sizes (sexy fit for chicks!).
Additionally, the "Stop Staring and Buy Me A Drink" shirt has GLOW IN THE DARK LETTERS! So nobody has an excuse to NOT buy you a drink.
Ladies, if you're dead-set on not paying for your own drinks in Toronto, this would be the way to do it.
If you feel "meh" about tee shirts but "chyeah!" about attending panels, I'll be spending my entire Saturday afternoon talking at panels.
You can listen to me and a hoard of very talented webcartoonists in the Oak Room from 2-3 talking about the future of the medium, and after that you can catch a drink with me in the hotel bar from 3:30-4:30 to talk about women in comics!
You've gotta love a panel that MAKES YOU get a drink at the bar.
That's it for now. I'll be making a more official post about the shirts very soon, but as a treat for all of you who were good and ate all of your blog entry, here's a link to the Tee Shirt Party where you can buy your own awesome shirts including the official GWS Who wants a mustache ride? and Stop staring and buy me a drink shirts!

WTF???
Sorry to those of you who did NOT see a new update Monday. I am BAFFLED.
The first comic above (#516) was updated via Mac on Sunday night from Toronto, and appeared with no problems on my iPhone (and Ramón's Mac for that matter).
When I got home yesterday, I was shocked to find that my PC wasn't showing the freshly updated page, nor the HTML.
VERY freaking weird.
Anyway, we had no Tuesday strip to catch up on, because I had to come home late from Toronto.
This marked my last trip with ol' Meredith, my super-sweet 1993 Accord wagon (includes hood pins to keep hood on, several dents, rusting holes, missing hubcap).
When Katie and I took the ol' gal up to Toronto, my rusty exhaust pipe cracked off near the catalytic converter, thus making dainty Meredith sound more like a fat motorcycle.
Luckily, Ramón was kind enough to lend his mechanic skills and give us a temporary fix Monday.
But I'm afraid I'll be buying a new car within the next month.
That said, I'm going to be selling some special pieces to help me handle the car payments from now on.
I was thinking about doing original color drawings of classic cars, thus keeping with the theme. Thoughts?
OH! Before I forget... a reader wrote in with concerns that some may be offended by GWS #516. It absolutely hadn't crossed my mind.
I have NOTHING against rich people, home-schooling, or religion.
I DO have a problem with people who don't teach their kids what sex is.
Even if it's covered in school, I feel sex ed should be explained at home, no matter how awkward.
But that's just me, and I'm just the artist.
If any of my personal beliefs are expressed through my characters, they are ONLY expressed when the character feels the same way.
Oddly enough, I don't put words in their mouths. They do.
Also, I think praying is a beautiful thing.
But if you pray to get pregnant and an angel knocks you up, you may want to talk to your religious authorities about it, and have a description of the angel ready for them.

Toronto!!
My Toronto travelogue is finally up with commentary!!
Also, keep an eye on my Etsy shop.
I just put up two new pieces (see below) and one of them's already gone! There will be a *ACH!* special one coming up in a day or two, as well.
By the way, THANKS A LOT to everyone who's been sending in drink ideas!!
Good news: if you haven't already pitched your GWS drink ideas, you can still send them in, especially because I still need ONE MORE DRINK: The Slingshot.
It can be a shot or a drink, or interchangeable. But I do need that drink. So if you have any ideas, please send them to me soon!
We'll be testing the drinks out next weekend!

Art and stuff!
Hey, new art up for sale! I did half eBay and half Etsy for those of you who prefer one over the other.
Here are the pieces for sale this week:
Heh, yeah, can we tell whose rent payment is due soon?
By the way, yes, I know that not all lesbians wear flannel.
In case you hadn't noticed, I enjoy cracking on stereotypes.
And on a final note, I fucking LOVE flannel.

Sorry I haven't been posting new wallpapers up lately. Here's one!
Y'want it? Click on the link, donate any amount to GWS, and WAIT TEN SECONDS for your wallpaper to appear.
No seriously, WAIT TEN SECONDS! Things you can do while waiting: count to ten on your fingers; count to ten on your toes;

thank me for introducing you to Kukuburi; call your mom; call

I'll try to do more of these for you!
