No Sunday strip this weekend!
I'm FINALLY moving out of my tiny 2-bedroom apartment and into... the largest house in town. It's scary-huge.
Luckily my brother will be sharing it with me for awhile. But STILL... it's HUGE!!
Therefore I'll be spending my entire weekend working on this house (built in 1774... yeah, it's serious) and moving in.
The cable guy promised he'd be here Monday afternoon, but somehow installing Internet in a 230-year-old house sounds more like a week-long ordeal.
Assuming my computer doesn't get dropped along the way, I'll likely be able to work on GWS Sunday, so fingers crossed, we'll have a Monday strip (I'll be a block closer to the library, so I can always steal their Internet to upload).
If not, I'm thinking Tuesday we'll have regular updates again, at the latest.
Also, thanks to everyone who pre-ordered GWS V-Day cards! I've sent them to the printers, and there will be PLENTY enough for those who haven't ordered already to
order a pack now and get them way before the 14th. So go ahead and get 'em if you want 'em!
Here are the card designs again:
Alright, wish me luck. I haven't gone without Internet for 4 days straight in a LONG time...

Blog post!
Here I am, posting to my blog! It's a blog post!
I'm still barely unpacked and barely set up to work, so please forgive the lack of Sunday strips lately.
Top it all off with major technical issues such as the No Signal RGB message that continues to plague my NEW monitor, and you've got one hell of a rough week.
For those of you who love the kitties and want to know how they are, they've both adjusted amazingly well, LOVE all the new space, have claimed the guest bathroom as their own (they love bathtubs), and continue to follow me around the house wherever I go, which is adorable, albeit a stumbling hazard.
Most importantly to me, the old wood-slat doors in this house have no space at the bottoms between the door and the floor, so I no longer have to endure pitiful scenes such as this while I work.
Anyway, more updates to come! Have a lovely Sunday!

An update on all things current.
Valentine's Day Cards!
Apologies to everyone who purchased V-day cards and expected them sooner - I JUST received the cards yesterday (Monday) morning and sent them out yesterday afternoon.
I shipped all domestic (US) orders priority to be sure they got to you in time. Canucks, my sincere apologies, the priority shipping costs were just outrageous, so I shipped yours first class.
My beloved postal ladies assured me that the cards were likely to get to you before the 14th anyway, but if they arrive later and you'd like your money back, just say the word.
I'm learning - albeit slowly - to get shit done MUCH EARLIER so as not to inconvenience you guys. And speaking of which...
GWS Books!
I'll be shipping the next batch of books tomorrow. I'll be doing this for the rest of the week according to when the orders were placed, and I'll keep you updated via this blog.
(For instance, all orders placed before December 10th have been sent - I'll let you know which orders will be sent out tomorrow.)
Thank you so much for your continued patience with this, guys!
Also...
Jameson's hairline!
I'd like to confirm to readers of GWS and In His Likeness that, although Jameson is in fact based on IHL creator James Hatton, what lurks under Jameson's bandana does not at all reflect what lurks beneath James Hatton's bandana.
What lurks beneath James Hatton's bandana is far more terrifying, and has been known to make small children cry.

Blast! Technology!
Hey y'all!
Alright, the reason today's strip was so late is because I'm having MAJOR problems with my computer.
It's been shutting off at random - not shutting down, just shutting off entirely - without warning for two or three weeks.
While I'd like to say my house is haunted and doesn't like technology, I don't think that's it.
What's worse is this isn't happening in any noticeable pattern.
It's been shutting off most often when I'm working on a large file like this one (between 50 and 75 megs, PSD files), but occasionally it does it when I'm just browsing the web.
So I'm not sure what's going wrong.
I'm on a home-made PC running Windows XP.
The video card was recently replaced to fix a monitor problem (okay, to fix MULTIPLE monitor problems), but the machine was randomly shutting down for a week before the new card was installed.
Any ideas? Could I have downloaded a virus? If so, it hasn't affected anything ELSE on my computer...
Let me know if you really think you may have a solution!
OKAY, EDIT! Wow, you guys are fast. And knowledgeable! At the rate I'm getting computer advice, I'd have to take a day off to read it all.
So don't worry about it for now - my Tech Guy Allan will be in this week and we'll read all the e-mails together to get some ideas - if we're still baffled by then, I'll put out a cry for help again.
Super-duper thanks to everyone who sent me their 2 cents (which may be worth a grand or so if it saves my computer)!!

Love! Kisses! This weekend! STAPLE!
First of all, can I get a small round of applause for not stretching this year's Valentine's Day out for over a month? You're welcome.
Secondly, as many of you know I am at Staple! this weekend in Austin, Texas. That said, there will not be a color strip this Sunday.
But you can see ME in color if you're in the area Saturday! In fact, you can see a lot of really cool people this Saturday.
In MORE fact, you can HEAR some cool people at 3:30 if you come listen in on the Webcomics Panel, featuring such stars as Scott Kurtz, Kris Straub, and David Malki!
And some chick who draws boobs.
Thirdly, yes, this strip will be available for purchase on eBay soon. :)
PS! Thank you SO MUCH, everyone who sent their computer suggestions.
I totally forgot to add that the front of my computer tells me what the temperature is, and it is DEFINITELY not a heat problem.
Also, I'm running everything on a hefty battery backup/surge protector.
What I had NOT noticed before is that there's a battery backup side to it, and a "just plain surge protector" side to it, so I've plugged my machine/monitor/external drive to the full-on backup side, and everything else to the surge protector side (why on EARTH isn't the whole thing backed by the battery?!).
We'll see if that helps, at least. I'm sure you'll hear about it if it does not in fact work.
