At long last
I hope it was worth the wait! I had to construct new menu elements just to make this thing FIT! Sunday strip will be shown Monday, tomorrow, as it always is when I screw up and do everything LATE!

PS... anyone who's read "Hazelnuts" might recognize someone very familiar in this strip...

SNARK!
Okay, no new strip today because I worked until 11 last night, and now I have to leave for work again in... ten minutes, and counting...

Thanks to Eat the Roses, I've been SNARKED!! Be sure to check out websnark, AND the Eat the Roses strip... I've only gotten a quick glance so far, but the artwork looks fabulous.

I've got a caricature to wrap up today, and several people to call (Matt, Mike, and Hot German Chick... I swear to god I'm not dead), but after that I'll be piecing together a GWS strip for y'all. And I might have some doodles to post as well!

Thanks for the patience, yo. ~mgmt.

Case of the blaaaaaaaaaaahhhhs...
I totally lied.

I'm going to put the next GWS on hold until this weekend. I'm running myself ragged and can't keep up - I need to sleep for the first time in DAYS!

So in lieu of the strip (and because I'm going to be doing so much work in the next few days), I'm going to share a new piece of artwork every day this week. I'll be doing at least TWO new pieces every day until this weekend, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Also, I need some help from you guys. I'd like to change the update days for GWS. My "sources" (read: gamer geek friends) say that Tuesdays and Thursdays would be good, but they also argue that Mondays and Fridays would be good.

What do you think? When do you typically check your webcomics? On weekdays at work? Or are the weekend updates just right for your schedule? Tell me what to do!

Election time... again! (**NOTE: NOT A WORK-SAFE POST!!**)
No nasty campaign ads, no horse-faced dems or air-headed repubs... just a continuation of yesterday's big question:

WHEN DO YOU WANT YOUR COMICS?

Thanks to everyone who's sent their opinion on update days - I'm keeping a tally, and your vote directly affects the outcome (there's no electoral college this time, folks - your vote REALLY COUNTS!).

Here's the count right now (note: I'm keeping track of the votes on a piece of paper that has a nude study on it. Needless to say, that's why this post is not work safe. Because, y'know... I couldn't just CROP her out of the tally! Sheesh!).

So yes, that's 2 votes for Tuesday/Thursday and 2 votes for weekdays in general. Alright, alright, so I haven't recieved THAT many responses!

Wanna have your own say? Tell me what you want... and one more thing. Who would buy a Girls With Slingshots T-shirt if they were suddenly, magically made available to you? Huh? Who wants 'em? C'mon, tell me!

That's more like it.

Aaaaaaaaahh
Just a note to explain the quicker load time of this site: I chopped off all of the old blog entries and put them here. Now I'll be archiving them by week instead of letting them dangle at the end of the main page.

Never fear, you can still find the jack-o-lanterns, "Life Sucks" introduction, and all of those other little goodies by going to the blog archives.

I'll be posting all of the GWS banners, as well as the other webcomic links, as soon as next week if I'm lucky. Meanwhile if you'd like a banner to post on your site (why, thank you!), just gimme a jingle and I'll send one your way.

Turkey surprise

Good morning!

Just stopping in to say "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone... and to let you know that currently in election news, Tuesdays and Thursdays are ahead by several votes for the GWS update schedule vote.

Have a nice day!

That's right!

That's right, kids! Due to popular dema--- well, REQUEST, really (you guys are so polite!), GWS will now be updated on days that start with T. But be sure to check in on weekends, because I'll be trying to add a little bit of art every weekend to keep you boys and girls happy all week long. Thanks to everyone who participated - your vote was heard!

I owe ya some art from yesterday, don't I? Well, here you go.

This is the courtroom drawing I did for the Frederick Post a few weeks back (witness and judge). The judge REALLY LOOKED LIKE THAT! He was a real-life caricature!

This is the greyscale, halftone version of a full-color pencil drawing. As soon as I get the original back, I'll show you what it REALLY looked like.

I never got to go back to draw the defendant. She pleaded guilty a week or so after I came down to do this drawing.

The case is sorta depressing, but I'll tell you anyway, because it was supposedly a very big trial. A woman shot another woman in the face, killing her, and then killed her baby. Yeah, I know. Weird thing is, this happened in Frederick, MD (my home town), but the woman was from Martinsburg, WV (where I currently work). So the witnesses were talking about all of these roads I take to work, shops that I shop at, landmarks I pass every day. Creepy.

Speaking of Martinsburg... anybody wanna see where I work?
