Okay, before you start bitching...

You guys aren't stupid - you KNOW who Hazel represents. She represents moi. We drink the same, we talk the same, we dress the same.

That said, I am NOT Candy, so there is no need to e-mail me with a long lecture about male rape. If I receive a single e-mail about this, I am going to cut and paste this entry as a response.

More importantly, OH MY GOD, LORIKEET!!

On another note, WOW, sorry my art has been sucking since I got back! That'll teach me to go on vacation for a week and only crack my sketchbook open twice.

Buttons, indeed!

I've had them around for months, but was previously only selling them at shows; now you can get your own GWS Button Packs whenever the heck you please!

As always, you can also pay via snail-mail, but please be sure to include your shipping address, name, and what you're ordering. And a nice note. A nice note goes a long way, you know.

A dollar of each purchase will go toward the donation drive, which means you'll receive the wallpaper o' the month just for buying buttons! (Btw, I'm STILL working on the first wallpaper for past donators, so hang in there - you donators have two wallpapers coming soon!).

And of course, these will also be available at TCAF August 18 and 19!

The Wapsi bond.

I'm feeling a strong bond with Wapsi Square today. Looks like femme sexual assertion is a common topic this week. And I'm so thrilled to have the boys back!!

Tatsuya gets me.

Sinfest explains how I can set a goal to script a week ahead of time, and never actually accomplish said goal.

TCAFabulous.

Who's going to TCAF next weekend?

*raising hand*

If you're gonna be there, be sure to sit in on the Webcomics Panel on Saturday from 2-3 in the Chapel (second floor). I'll be there, as will R Stevens, Jeffrey Rowland, Matt Forsythe, Ryan North, Chris Hastings and Meredith Gran (please tell me you're reading Octopus Pie on the regs, y'all).

And stay afterwards for the Transmission-X Launch Panel. Have you heard of Transmission-X yet? All I can say is, I got a sneak peek of Ramon Perez's new comic for it, and you've never been so charmed by his work before. He just gets better and better. You've GOT to check it out.

If you want to know more, check out the TCAF website for other event info.

Aaaand happy 300th strip to GWS!

Toronto-ho!

If there isn't a new comic up Monday morning, wait until Wednesday for a triple-dose!

And COME SEE ME AT TCAF!!

Back from the border

My lovely assistant Adam W and I got back from Toronto safe and sound, despite the fact that he swears he's always pulled over at the border for being, well, handsomely tanned with black hair and Middle Eastern blood in his veins.

We're attributing our success to the noticeably straight male border control inspector, and my boobs.

I've decided against posting 3 strips today because it just seemed like too much. So you'll get another double dose tomorrow!

Two more exciting tidbits: one is *GASP!* FINALLY!!!*, and two is yet another interview with yours truly at CBR. Enjoy!

Ooo, look what I found!

Recognize anyone?

LIVE PODCAST!!

I'm such a putz - I didn't realize my podcast interview tonight with Jenga Jam's John Edathil was going to be LIVE!

Tune in tonight at 10:30 to listen to me make a fool of myself, and then call in to make fun of me for it!

Podcast gooferview.

For those of you who missed it, John got last night's TalkShoe interview together really fast! Here you are.

Thanks to everyone who e-mailed/called in! I still feel like I'm not so hot on live interviews, but it was really rewarding to see that other people were listening in and contributing.

All those convention sketches I never posted - everything from last November's Mid-Ohio Con through last weekend's TCAF! Including these gems:

Lol.

Sure, not all of us are LOLCATS fans, but c'mon... is there a doubt in your mind that Maureen reads it every day?

Polaroid a Day.

For those of you who live between Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, you may be interested in Kristian Thacker's show this weekend at the Delaplaine in Frederick, MD.

Kris is my old roommate and he started shooting a Polaroid a day (I know, clever title!) every day for a year starting May 1, 2006. Now all 365+ Polaroids are up at the Delaplaine from now through October 14th in the Gardiner Gallery.

I've mentioned him plenty of times on this thing, but I can't stress enough what an insightful and talented photographer Kris is. Not to mention, there are a ton of blackmail photos of me in this set, as well as our apartment, friends, and adorable little town.

So if you're free between 3:00 and 5:00 pm this Saturday, September 1st, come out for the opening! And if you're not, visit the Delaplaine before mid-October to get a glimpse of his work.
