Good god, I nearly forgot to even DO GWS tonight!! This one's for Jonathan. You'd better like it, buster. :)

I'm at table 37 this weekend for Staple! Woohoo!! Speaking of which, if GWS isn't updated Monday morning, it'll be up later. I'm going to San Antonio Sunday and I don't know when I'll have internet access again.

Bleeeeaaahhh.

Okay guys, I thought I'd escaped it, but apparently the post-con sickness can strike days after a con. To those of you I met over Staple! weekend, thanks for stopping by my booth!! I was so flattered to see how many people came right up to see me. Y'all made my day. :)

Meanwhile, I'm gonna go sleep 12 hours and hook an IV up to some OJ for the night.

Bad timing.

I think I can safely assume that I'm not the ONLY person who was a little confused this morning. I awoke at 8:30 to my alarm, dragged my teddy bear and a blanket into the living room, and wrapped up to take a little nap on the futon. After what I SWORE was an hour nap, I turned on my computer to find 10:30 on the clock. I checked my cell. 9:30. EHH??

Until my cell phone is back on track, I'm going to be a total mess! But at least GWS is updated early. :)

Longest. V-day. Ever.

It recently dawned on me that I just dragged everyone's least favorite holiday out for A FULL MONTH. I am SO sorry, everyone. I hope Strip Scrabble made it worth it. :)

Damn that Paul Taylor. I want my backgrounds to look as stunning as his. That man's amazing.

Etsy!

I forgot to explain that thing on the left, the one with all the little pieces of artwork.

My pal Tony told me about Etsy.com, an online marketplace for artists. I mentioned it to Kris, who immediately put his awesome photography on Etsy and told me it was pretty easy and cheap.

Well, I found out yesterday that I am WAAAAY broker than I thought I was, so as a last resort I started posting some things up on Etsy. I think I'm going to keep all comics-related stuff to my website (and I found some real gems you guys are gonna love once I create a store for them!), but from now on my artsy stuff and sketches will be up for sale at my Etsy store.

Oh also, you'll notice I finally filled up the little ad space above - no more stupid Google ads!! Now it's just quick links to other places I hang out (MySpace, Twitter, etc.), sales (the eBay one will link to just my stuff at some point), as well as links to the Postcards anthology and Crazy Papers.

It recently dawned on me that some of you probably weren't aware that all of my original GWS and Bat Boy strips are for sale. They most certainly are! They're only $65 apiece (plus shipping) right now. I'm thinking I might just run a special this week, though. The 19th is my 2-year anniversary of being a full-time freelance artist, and the 23rd is my birthday, sooo... I think that's worth a sale! I'll post more tonight/Monday. Keep your eyes peeled!

Okay, big sale for THIS WEEK ONLY! You ready?

ALL GWS and Bat Boy strips will be available for $50 apiece from the 19th (the 2-year anniversary of my self-employment) until midnight of the 23rd (my birthday). To find out which strips are still available, visit this page and e-mail me with the numbers you're interested in!

Shipping will be reduced for those who purchase more than one item - $8 for the first item, and only $3 for each item after that.

There are some really fun strips still available that I'm surprised haven't been snatched up yet. For instance, the good old ""PREDATOR, Jameson!" "SEXUAL, Hazel." (GWS024), and the soda fight between Hazel and Maureen (GWS094). And some of the newer ones, such as the color of cleavage one (GWS219).

To aid in your search, as per one reader's smart request, I finally updated the story arc archives page, so if you have a strip in mind but don't know what number it is, you can breeze through the story arcs to find the one you've got in mind.

Hope this makes up for the tee shirts that I no longer have available! :) (There'll be new ones someday, promise!)

Two things...

Hey, who saw the little "Girls With Slingshots" poster in Girl Genius the other day? HOW COOL WAS THAT?!! I didn't even know Phil knew about GWS!

And second, what're you doing March 31st? Are you going to be at the GIGANTOR HUGE F*ING SALE at Wild Pig Comics in Kenilworth, New Jersey like I am??

Because if you are, you can get a $5 sketch from me! Instead of doing a 24-hour comic like the other artists (because we know how successful THAT'S been for me in the past), I'm giving out 24 $5 sketches from NOON Saturday through NOON Sunday. The sketches will be convention sketch quality - I'm not hacking on these. I might even bring along my markers for a little color at no extra charge. So get your asses in there and get your names on my sign-up list.

As for the fine print... offer's good for one sketch per person, and one character per sketch (unless your 2-character sketch idea is just so killer I HAVE to do it). Other than that, anything goes! Well, you know, anything not X-rated. :)

The sale is, as promised, effing huge and the store & owner are top-notch. As are the other artists, among them James Hatton and Bill Ellis, and if we're lucky, the wildly talented Chris Moreno as well.

So plan on being there! It's just a week and a half away!
