Philly wrap-up!

Philly wrap-up tomorrow... not many pictures (as I was only there for about an hour or two!), but plenty of little stories!

'Til then, enjoy!

Philly wrap-up, take two!

Alright, here you are, boys & girls! The Philly wrap-up.

Read all about danielle's lenghty journey to Philadelphia, her embarrassing first encounter with fame, why she came home sunburnt!

I'm off!

Before I jet for Jersey in a few minutes, I thought I'd inform any MoCCA-goers that Jim Rugg of the kick-ass book Street Angel is kindly allowing me to take up space at his table at the MoCCA event tomorrow (Sunday), so as long as I can tame the subways and find my way to Lafayette Street, I'll be at MoCCA selling Bottoms Up books and doing commissions!

Thanks to Allan's mad computer skills, I'll be technologically ready to spend the week in New York without missing a GWS strip, so never fear, kind readers - you'll get your fix.

I'll also be working on my pages for Rafer Roberts' Plastic Farm and thumbnails for Jim Dougan's "Crazy Papers" during the week, so stick around for some sneak-peek artwork!

Oh, and before I forget, THANK YOU to everyone who sent me an Rx for McPedro!! The overwhelming majority estimates that he's been getting too much water and not enough sun. I'll be re-potting him when I get home from NY and he's already been moved to a sunnier location.

I -heart- my readers.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow and at the Big Apple Con next weekend!!

QUICKIE! (Including apologies!)

Oh man, I'm tired!

Sorry for the lack of GWS above, boys & gals. I just got home from New York and now I've gotta jet to do caricatures until 4:30 am. And all I want is a nap!!

GWS will be updated on Thursday on-schedule - sorry for the delay, but I'm swamped with work!

Oh, also... if you live in New York and I didn't get to see you (or just didn't get to see you long enough), please forgive me, I was either inside doing work or outside visiting other friends all week and I couldn't squeeze everyone in!

And to wrap up a bigger, broader apology, thank you to everyone who has sent me encouraging e-mails, and I swear to you that I HAVE read them! I'm just way behind in responding to them, and that includes e-mails from over a month ago! Even if I can't reply to everyone who has something nice to say about GWS, your letters are what keeps GWS going (today excluded!!). Thank you so much for the encouragement. You guys are the reason I do this.

...

Okay, I kinda do it for me, too.

UGH!!

Alright, here's the skinny. I should have just told you guys what was up from the start!

This week, all week, I'm doing caricature gigs every God-forsaken night at high schools for their graduation lock-ins.

This would not be an issue for me, except that all of the high schools are at least two hours away and the jobs are from midnight to around four in the morning.

Therefore, I'm giving GWS a week-long rest until I can wrap up the jobs and get back to a normal work schedule. As it stands, I'm spending a lot of time in my bed, with a pillow over my head, wishing the cute little birdies outside would find another f'ing hobby besides chirping.

(Admittedly, however, these high school gigs are a lot of fun!)

Thank you for being your sweet, patient selves. You wonderful people.

OH, and until I get something BETTER up, enjoy a few photos by Adam Cooley (of me and my brother), Jason Chau (of his Harley sketch), and yours truly (of the other sketches I did at the Big Apple con) from New York!
