I know, I know.

I know I've got a lot of explaining to do. I know.

I've only recently learned how to say "no" to things. Well, June will mark the end of my foolishness.

By June, I won't be taking any odd and pro-bono jobs like the ones I foolishly offered to do last year (not foolishly because of the projects - some of them are WONDERFUL - but foolishly because my time and money reserves are so tight right now).

Cool thing is, June (actually, next week) also marks the beginning of my career as a REAL comic book artist. Though I've been doing odd cartoon work for awhile now, I've never been paid to do books, and in the coming weeks I'll be wrapping up Rafer Roberts' Plastic Farm for issue #11, as well as beginning a book with a local writer in June (more to be announced as plans solidify!). I hate hate HATE that I can't take up free work anymore, but fact of the matter is, a girl's gotta eat.

At any rate, I've put in the flag for tonight after wearing out my back and wrist on drawing for another project all day (which calls for another preview - below!).

But tomorrow, I'm devoting the day to a special treat for all of you.... especially for all of you Star Wars fans (you can thank Mike Fogg later). With any luck, it'll make up for the lack of a Tuesday strip.

And to everyone who will be defending their third-row perfectly-placed center seat for Star Wars this week... godspeed!
