Wide open spaces and too many enchiladas

I'm home from Texas, but I haven't recovered yet (hence, no strip until later tonight). The Tex-Mex food knocked me on my... well, ass.

Sorry, REALLY bad joke. *clutching stomach*

However, as you can see below, I DID work on today's strip on the plane ride home, and it IS on my drawing board at this moment, ready to be completed. Unfortunately, my reaction to Texas food caused me to have shaky hands on an already shaky flight last night, so I decided to wait until I was home from work today to finish it.

I'm taking a much-needed nap now, and then you'll have your fix. Promise. :)

Sorry for the delays, guys. About a week from now, I'll just be working ONE job, so these filler strips won't be as frequent. I promise!

But check back tomorrow (Friday) - like I said, come rain or shine, you're getting two genuine strips this week!

The Girlfriend
As my pal Russ correctly asserted, the new character is indeed Madison, Tyler's "little girlfriend." Ta-daaaa!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this already (I could really scroll down and read past entries, but... laziness prevails), but my last day of work is officially next Friday, the 18th of March. Holy crap. I'm gonna be self-employed in exactly a week!!! Wish me luck!

My last day comes just a few days before my birthday the next week, on the 23rd. What a birthday gift to give myself; freedom, more time to draw, and a completely unsteady and unreliable financial backing! Hehe. Well, the freedom is what really matters. As much as I love my job, it's too much for me to work two jobs nonstop and quite frankly, my stomach and my brain are sick of this lifestyle. It's time to nix the ulcers and and get myself back to a regular schedule.

By the way, a new "Tooon-Up" (the official newsletter of GWS and all things danielle) will be sent out within the next month. If you're not on the list and you'd like to be, please let me know! The Tooon-Ups are on a bi-random schedule, so you won't have to read a long description of my complicated life every week. You'd be lucky to get a Tooon-Up every month. I don't like hassling my readers.

I'll post more soon! Give me a week to file, do taxes, and wrap up my day job, and I'll be all yours again.
