Just a reminder! I'll be picking 5 guest strips to feature during the week of May 27-31 while I live in a yurt in Arizona for a little while, as I'm wont to do. Submissions are due Monday, May 20th! 

 

Here are the restrictions/requirements for guest strip submissions:

  • 1025 px wide 72 dpi file (preferably JPG or PNG).
  • Must be turned in by May 20th to dcorsetto@gmail.com with "GUEST STRIP" in the subject!
  • Include your name the way you'd like it to be credited.
  • Include the name of your comic or website (if you have one) and the CORRECT URL.

This time the theme is What in the hell have the other characters been up to? I'd love to see you creative artists and writers play with some of the characters we haven't seen in awhile!

OMG TCAF (also: GUEST STRIPS WANTED!)

GUYSGUYSGUYSGUYS... 

TCAF is this weekend. Are you coming? Or are you crying because you can't come? There's no in-between answer unless you live very far from Toronto, or hate art.

For those who don't know, TCAF is a FREE ENTRY art show held in the Toronto Reference Library on Yonge (near Bloor) in Toronto - officially called the Toronto Comic Arts Festival.

It's a two-day show this weekend, May 11 & 12, featuring extraordinary artists, and also people like me! It's the best show. The best. I'll be there, and all of these amazing people will be there too.

I'll be bringing my standard selection - some sweet prints, all of my GWS books, a few of the last McPedro plushies, and my B9 book (new this year!) - but I should also have (FINALLY!) copies of the Adventure Time book I wrote that's coming out next week!

I'll also be on two panels on Sunday, both in the nearby Marriott: 12:15-1:15 about humor in comics (where you'll learn why I'm a cartoonist instead of a stand-up comic), and 4-5 about Adventure Time, including peeps like Ryan North, Meredith Gran, and Mike Holmes!

I feel the need to note that fucking BILL AMEND of Fox Trot will be on that first panel, so you'll also get to watch me pee my pants. If you're not into that then don't come.

Guest Strips!

I'm looking to feature some guest strips during the week of May 27-31. Would you like to submit one? I'd like for you to submit one!

I'll be open for guest strip submissions next week (or, hell, in the next twenty minutes if you're David Willis) and the theme will be "What the hell has everyone else in this comic been up to?"

I'd love to see what you think Beatrice the Librarian, or Chris the Pirate and Melody, or Maureen and Jameson, or heaven forbid, CANDY, have been up to while we've been paying so much attention to other characters. Here's the general cast list if you'd like to get some ideas.
